屈螺酮炔雌醇片具有抗盐皮质激素和抗雄激素活性，这是其它合成类孕激素所不具备的。正因为同时具备了这两种药理特性，使得屈螺酮炔雌醇片(优思明)独具改善女性生活质量。

一般的口服避孕药，可能会因为所含有的雌激素而引起一定得水潴留，也就是浮肿的现象，让大家觉得好像吃了口服必要变胖了。但是屈螺酮炔雌醇片(优思明)的孕激素成份很特别，叫做屈螺酮，这是目前最先进，最接近天然的孕激素成份，可以有效对抗雌激素引起的水钠潴留，所以不会有发胖的问题。
